The container building is located at the Santa Monica Pier consisting of 152 steel sea containers, stacked four high. It was designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban as the "Nomadic Museum, to house the opening of the Ashes and Snow display which started on River Park's Pier 54, in New York City in March 2005.

This 80'wide by 100' long is a great example of the versatility of sea containers. Located in Port Leyden, N.Y., it was constructed by LeRoy Toth Inc. using eight 20' steel sea containers. Our thanks go to LeRoy Toth for providing us with these Photos.
